I did enjoy this painting though I dont really use acrylic paint much. There is definately an advantage in the fast drying, as it stops me fussing too much!
16 x 12" Acrylic on Canvas.
As yet untitled though I quite like 'drip dry' lol!
I think this portrait has taken me longer than any other I have ever done! I am on the home straight now though, phew.
Second Collie is now complete. I am pleased with him. :)
I am doing this portrait as a 'Work in Progress' (with a bit more information on how I am doing the fur, and which colours I am using etc), on 'Wetcanvas' Coloured pencil Forums. here is the Thread link if anyone want to have a look. http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=619288

A little more progress on the second dog, I really want to crack on with this now I need to get focused!
Great news yesterday, I have sold 3 original paintings out of the Daryl Nantais gallery, Linton, Cambridgeshire.
I must confess I was a little worried about tackling this lovely Merle coat on this collie, but I have surprised myself by how much fun it is, and in fact it is easier than a flat area of colour!
The first of the trio os now completed, I hope to get the next two done a little quicker now I have no other work on. I wasn't sure if I had overworked the rough curls in the neck, but it is an old dog so perhaps it helps show that a little.
This one is coming along so slowly as I have been very busy of late with the childrens pony and their birthdays, I have also had to make a wedding cake (an interesting sideline!)
Managed a couple of hours this morning so heres a quick update, and a picture of my cake creation!
